7/22/2023 0 Comments Data east jurassic park pinball![]() Jurassic Park (Data East 1993) SE Dual Mod Backglass.directB2S zip files so you only need to download what you want / need. Real Color DMD users will be happy to see I also included a RealColorDMD AVI and MP4 using snippets from the real dmd + a couple animations and additions I did by hand - i.e.: the T-Rex walking across the logo.īackglass videos, wheels, and topper videos have been split into separate. I also made a couple of mew wheel images specifically for this backglass / video if you decide to have multiple versions of the table in your setup. I personally am using the 2k special backglass video in my cabinet and NOT the B2S animated backglass (cuz it is way cooler!) - but I still made the B2S versions for both 2 and 3 screen users so they wouldn't feel left out. ![]() This drastically reduces any lag or stutter that would happen with a multi-frame bs2 backglass file. That's why I opted to make VIDEO version that continuously loops, instead. I explain how to use the VIDEO version of the backglass further in this post. The special VIDEO backglass (included in HD - 1920 x 1080 and 2K - 2200 x 1238 format resolutions) was made because what I wanted to do with this VIDEO backglass was not possible with a b2s file (lighting and rain fx) without either a huge file size or the risk of slowing down the tables gameplay - ie: ball stutter. The original backglass / translite for this pinball wasn't very interesting, so I decided to make a new backglass using a brand new / high-resolution alternate image "authentic" and "fantasy" b2s backglass fx.īackglass is Dual Mode with Authentic (simulated turn on and constant illumination) and Fantasy (basic light animation). you can always use them as an alternate backglass set for ANY Jurassic Park (Data East 1993) VPX table. all parts are availible from marco. This SPECIAL EDITION B2S Backglass, and Special Video Backglass Version were made especially for Siggi's Jurassic Park table mod, BUT. ![]() solder back in good tested parts in the direction that they came out. open or shorted parts need to be replaced. next use the other test lead to the center lead and repeat process. testing the transistors put one test lead on the center lead and the other test lead to each of the outer leads. test diodes in each polarity direction, 1 small resistance reading in 1 direction is correct. tape each part to a paper but not covering leads and mark the paper with each part #. unsolder and remove parts one at a time and watch were the white band on diodes and metal tab on transisters direction in were they came out to re-install them in the proper direction. to properly test parts they need to be unsoldered and removed from board or other parts on the board might give a false reading. also a roll of desoldering braid is needed( availible from radio shack ). i dont know what kind of soldering was used for the coil soldering, but a 25 or 30 watt iron is needed for board work. after removing the flipper board from machine take a pic of it for a visual aid in helping re-installing the parts back in proper direction. the parts for F5 are D11, Q15, and Q16. The pasts that need to be checked for F1 are D1, Q2, and Q3. there may be driver transistors on the flipper board that are weak or bad thats causing the fuse to blow when the flipper coil load is applied or driven. if IDC female connectors are used in your machine they need to be checked for loose wires or connections on the flipper board. if all the flipper coils have the same part number and the left flipper is working correctly, coil swapping from left to right flippers may be possible to see if the problem moves and to verify that the coils are not the problem. the manual talks about EOS switch theory, these switches are gold point switches and should not be filed, but should be clean and adjusted properly. each flipper has a LED that lights on the flipper board when flipper buttons are pushed, 1 for left and 2 for right. each flipper coil is fused and driven by the flipper board outputs. the flipper button switches and the EOS switches are flipper board inputs, and dont get wired directly to the flippers. of what i see the left flipper has 1 flipper button switch and 1 EOS switch on the flipper assembly, the right flipper has 2 flipper button switches and 1 EOS switch. There isnt any manual for jurassic park availible from PDB to download so i found a manual from TFTC that also has 3 flippers and the flipper board schematic and downloaded that.
